
Moriah Ogunbiyi is a London-based writer specialising in contemporary art. In his work he often explores surrealist themes, and is particularly interested in the intersection of surrealism, spirituality, and mysticism; he enjoys researching topics that push against the boundaries of reality. Ogunbiyi’s work has been published in Art and Christianity Journal and 1-54 Contemporary African Art Fair Annual Book (2021), which he co-wrote and edited. In addition, he helped with the organisation of the 1-54 contemporary African art fair and forum at Somerset House, London (2021).
His website currently hosts a blog focused on interviewing young contemporary artists. Previously, he worked with House of African Art Gallery, providing editorial and curatorial support. Ogunbiyi earned a BA in History from The University of East Anglia and an MA in History of Art from SOAS University of London.
