Synesthesia is an experimental project that facilitates collaboration between curators/writers & artists.
Times of change and ambiguity have forced us all to examine the ways we work and find new, creative and collaborative solutions.
Synesthesia is an experimental project that facilitates collaboration between curators/writers and artists. We showcases the work of ten artists from across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly for each iteration. The project investigates the ways we experience art remotely, using the power of words and conversations, not only in the context of lockdown but also to address the challenges that often face artists outside of urban centres.
Synesthesia is a Cultivator Showcase, led by The Bridge team at the University of Plymouth, in partnership with Creative Kernow.
The Bridge drives Knowledge Exchange initiatives for the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Business. Our team works as the interface between the Faculty and the outside world, and focuses on maximising the value and outcomes from interactions.
We can help businesses and organisations to develop new products, services and experiences and gain access to skills, talent and resources. We can help academics to increase the visibility, profile and impact of their research, enhance the student experience increase student employability and graduate outcomes.
Cultivator is a business development programme that supports the creative sector in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. It’s is a project run by Creative Kernow and works in partnership with the University of Plymouth, Real Ideas Organisation, Cornwall College and Cornwall Development Company.
